The Sheriff grew up in the south of Spain in the 90’s started he’s influenced in music with 90’s Breakbeat and electronica from artists such as Plump DJs, Stanton Warriors, Aquasky, Prodigy, Fat Boy Slim, Chemical Brother, and many more. Then moved to a heavier side of breakbeat with sub-genres like Nuskool breaks, Tech breaks, and Psy breaks. The sound he produces tech-house with groovy basslines and crisp percussion, using 808’s and 909’s and using a mixture of sound design and samples. Also with some psy and breakbeat influences in his production. The Sheriff started his musical journey back in 2005 where he went to study a music production and DJ course at the ACM College in Guilford where he polishes his Dj skills. After that, he moved back to Spain, started organizing and playing at gigs in his local area, and played alongside a few big underground artists like DJ Rasco, DJ Wally, and Lady Packa. After a decline in the popularity of the genre of breakbeat, the sheriff spent the next few years out of the scene and started a family. After a trip to Ibiza in 2018, he was exposed to new styles of music like Tech House and Techno and really connected with it, with labels like Elrow, La Pera Records, Sola, Toolroom, Hot Creations, and many others in the tech-house scene and in techno labels like Drumcode. So watch this space as he will surely be earring of him soon.
